Alter Trade Japan (ATJ) Formal trading relations between ATJ and ATC began in 1989.

ATJ engages in a unique "people-to-people" trade in the developing world handling "eco-food" products. It all started from a modest beginning of helping the Negros islanders of the Philippines reeling under a catastrophic sugar market collapse in the early 1980s.

At present, ATJ imports naturally grown green bananas called Balangon, organic muscovado sugar, low-chemical mangoes and frozen pineapples from ATC.

Chocolat Bernrain Since 1997, Chocolat Bernrain uses ATC's organic muscovado sugar to make a chocolate candy bar called Mascao that also utilizes cacao and nuts from Bolivian cooperatives.

It is a trading organization that aims to improve the living conditions of people in Asia, Africa and Latin America who are placed at a disadvantage due to regional and national structures of the economy and society.

Claro Ag

Claro AG (formerly OS3) of Switzerland trades in 1074 products, ATC organic muscovado sugar included, which is produced in accordance with ecological and social criteria by 118 producers in 32 countries. Claro works mainly with cooperatives and associations that promote cooperation among economically disadvantaged producer groups - especially in developing regions.
