The BioRich
Organic Fertilizer is considered as one of the main organic inputs
in all Alter Trade Foundation Inc.
(ATFI) supported areas. As part of the production system's
Quality Assurance System (QAS), the Institute
for Marketology (IMO) carries out annual inspection to ensure
the system's compliance to Naturland standards, the United
States Department of Agriculture-National Organic Programme (USDA-NOP)
Final Rule, and Regulation
European Economic Council (EEC) No. 2092/91.
The above-mentioned
standards would normally set control measures on formulation and
raw materials. It could also pertain to several production parameters
such as carbon-nitrogen ratio (C/N), moisture content (MC), and
heap temperature.
Aside from these
certifying body standards, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control
Points standards were also studied and applied to the system.
This approach entails process flow analysis that focuses on the
probable hazards a certain production step would have and how
this can be controlled.
